Job Overview
We’re looking for a part-time AI & Robotics Instructor with a computer science background and strong communication skills to lead exciting workshops and after-school programs. You’ll introduce kids to AI concepts (like machine learning, chatbots, and image recognition) as well as basic robotics (using microcontrollers, sensors, and simple mechanical builds). Your goal is to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and show students how technology can be fun and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Engaging AI & Robotics Classes
- Conduct interactive lessons focusing on AI fundamentals (e.g., image classification, chatbots) and robotics basics (e.g., sensors, motors, simple circuits).
- Simplify complex topics for a young audience, using hands-on projects and demos.
- Curriculum Delivery & Adaptation
- Follow our structured curriculum and lesson plans, adding your own creative flair.
- Tailor content to different age groups and learning paces.
- Inspire & Mentor Students
- Encourage questions, promote problem-solving, and celebrate students’ creativity.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that boosts confidence.
- Evaluate Student Progress
- Provide feedback on class projects and mini-challenges.
- Share progress updates with parents and program coordinators as needed.
- Continuous Learning
- Stay updated on the latest AI tools, kids’ robotics platforms, and teaching strategies.
- Attend internal training sessions to enhance your teaching and tech skills.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Pursuing or holding a Computer Science degree (or a related STEM field).
- Strong foundational knowledge in programming, AI/ML basics, or robotics.
- Skills & Experience:
- Comfortable with basic AI libraries, robotics kits (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino, or similar).
- Excellent communication: able to explain tech concepts in a fun, simple way.
- Teaching/mentoring experience is a plus—especially with kids or youth programs.
